Family Therapy
What’s the purpose of family therapy?
Family therapy provides:
A safe space for your family to explore each member’s thoughts, emotions, challenges, and perspectives.
An opportunity to gain clarity, work through difficult emotions and feelings and find common ground and harmony.
A supportive environment facilitated by your therapist to learn and to practice tools and coping strategies to repeat positive changes.
A personalized guidance for the family through collaborative goal-setting that can help each member of the family come to a place of understanding and acceptance.
A step toward generational healing.
How does Family Therapy Work?
Schedule a consultation call - Generally 15 minutes in length and it’s free for you and your family to share briefly about why you’re all seeking therapy, to hear about how I help clients in therapy, to be informed about session cost and how I conduct sessions, and to ask other questions you may have.
Have an Intake Session - During the first session, we will discuss what challenges you’re facing, how your family is responding to those challenges, and establish treatment goals. This is also a time for me to get to know each member of the family and your background.
Goal Setting and Ongoing Weekly Sessions - As part of the intake and very next therapy session, we will continue to establish goals that you’d like to achieve and maintain weekly therapy sessions.
Change can be difficult and scary, but the outcome can be rewarding
Stepping out of your comfort zone takes real courage. I commend you for taking this step to schedule a consultation and inquire about therapy sessions. While change may not happen immediately, I promise to provide a safe, nonjudgmental, and caring space for us to work together toward the life you’ve always wanted.
